If you would like to start your breastfeeding journey the right way, this is for you. After this consultation, you will know what to expect and feel confident when your baby arrives.
In this consultation we will talk about how to meet your unique feeding goals. We'll practice different positions to breastfeed, talk about how to know if you're baby's getting enough milk, how to get a good latch, common concerns when it comes to feeding your baby, facts & myths of breastfeeding, any doubts that you may have, antenatal colostrum expression and much more!
It is offered in-person and online. It includes handouts for you to refer back when you need it, and all family members can participate!

what to expect in a prenatal consultation
a thorough health history taking
Prior to your initial consultation, we'll ask questions about pregnancy, birth, medical history and your feeding goals. This will be made via an online questionnaire through a secure online system to keep all of your information confidential and safe.
education
We will talk about everything you need to know be, how to know if you're baby's getting enough milk, how to get a good latch, common concerns when it comes to feeding your baby, facts & myths of breastfeeding, and any doubts that you may have!
hands-on practice
We'll practice different positions to breastfeed and we'll go over the latching technique and antenatal hand expression. You're more than welcome to show us the feeding products you already have or the ones you're thinking about adding to your baby registry, we'll discuss the best options!
personalized feeding plan
We will make a plan based on your feeding goals. We will send you a checklist with suggestions for feeding products and a feeding plan that works for you and your family! We will send you a document or email with your feeding plan.
We will be here for you once your baby arrives! Postnatal lactation consultations are available in the clinic, at the comfort of your home and virtually.
